FOREWORD
Martin Luther King once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is “What are you doing for others?”. In light of this question, we have based the focus of our work on 2021. This NGO, created in 2018, has made baby steps and grown to impact the lives of the youths and the most vulnerable (children, women, orphans, teenage pregnant girls, etc.) in our society. Indeed, they say a thousand-mile journey begins with a step. Since its creation in 2018, HASCON has worked in offering psychosocial and humanitarian support to IDPs. However, our work has grown to include Health care (mental health, Sexual and Reproductive health), Education (Social and Emotional Learning in Schools where we teach children life skills), Peace and Human Rights issues, Gender Equality, and Women Empowerment. We also do campaigns to raise awareness and educate the communities on different topics.
The Organization has grown and diversified its work today as a result of the expertise of the team that worked hard to make this progress a success. Nonetheless, in 2021, the organization faced challenges executing its work due to the ongoing conflict in the South West Region. Despite these challenges, we sailed through and achieved results in self sponsored projects (NGO sponsored its activities). Also, we managed to partner with other organizations that we appreciated. This year, our “Hadassah Foundation Christmas with Orphans 2021” was a great success, and we are grateful to our silent partners who made it possible.
To conclude, we thank all our supporters. We appreciate your trust in working with us. In our work, we don’t question what we ought to do, but we ask what we can do in this crisis, with many homeless people in distress. On this basis, we move forward with our work to improve people’s lives and enhance their well-being.
Thank you.
