During the celebration of UN Youth Day 2024 at VHITS Buea, the CEO and Executive Director of Hadassah Foundation, in her capacity as a psychosocial support expert, delivered an insightful talk on the digital use of social media platforms and their impact on youth health. She highlighted the 2023 HIV/AIDS statistics, which showed that the majority of those affected were youths aged 15 to 24, with a higher infection rate among girls.
She also discussed the concerning issue of older men grooming young girls on Facebook and luring them into sexual activities. Additionally, she addressed the topic of sexting and its effects on youths.
