Healthy Kids Workshop, with Hadassah Foundation, was another impactful and exciting day🥳🥳
Hadassah Foundation led interactive sessions on mental health and sex education. The children learned what mental health means through fun, practical activities, including sharing positive affirmations, and expressing their emotions through art.
They also participated in an age-appropriate sex education session, where they learned about safe and unsafe touches, puberty, and the important do’s and don’ts for their age.
The day wrapped up with light physical exercises and an engaging talk on hydration, where the children learned the importance of drinking enough water and the effects of dehydration on their health.
Another day filled with learning, fun, and empowering young minds!

World Menstrual Hygiene Day

Thursday, May 28, 2026, Hadassah Foundation carried out an educational outreach at St. Valentine’s Orphanage in commemoration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, aimed at sensitizing young girls on the critical issue of menstrual health and its impact on personal development. To maximize the reach and impact of the initiative, the foundation successfully brought together and merged the children from Maria Mojoko Orphanage with those at St. Valentine’s Orphanage, hosting them in a centralized, supportive environment.
The session focused on two primary areas: the Physical and Biological Aspects of Menstrual Health and the Social and Hygienic Practices Essential for Daily Living. Emphasis was placed on proper hygiene management, the importance of using safe sanitary products, and maintaining personal cleanliness to prevent health complications. The girls were encouraged to understand that their reproductive health as a valuable asset that must be managed with dignity, confidence, and proper care. Educating the participants on Social and Hygienic Practices, we introduced them to practical routines for managing their cycles effectively without disrupting their academic performance or social activities. The conversation also included open dialogue on overcoming embarrassment, navigating bodily changes, and supporting one another through shared experiences. By discussing the importance of breaking the silence surrounding menstruation, the session provided the young girls with a realistic and empowering perspective on why menstrual hygiene is essential to their overall well-being and future ambitions.
The session was interactive and impactful, providing the participants with valuable knowledge.

Hadassah Foundation carried out a sensitization talk on the prevention of sexual exploitation and assault at Foundation Nursery and Primary School, On the 29th of April 2026,.

Teaching children in primary school about boundaries, consent, and how to recognize unsafe situations helps protect them from sexual assault and exploitation. Age-appropriate education gives kids the confidence to speak up, seek help, and understand that their safety and voice matter.

Being able to recognize inappropriate behavior, and the importance of speaking up and seeking help from trusted adults is very crucial to young kids. Through interactive discussions and age-appropriate examples, the team emphasized personal safety, respect for one’s body, and the need to report any form of abuse. The activity was well received by both pupils and staff, contributing to ongoing efforts to promote a safe and protective environment for children.
